I am begining to realize that it's not until college life that things I've learned since I was 2 are just now actually making sense. Like the other day, I realize for the first time that Jesus is my friend. And I've known that since I was born, but... I suppose for me, sometime the simplest concepts take the longest to understand.
Well, this is what I've been learning lately. There is this song that we sing in chapel and one line in it says " Seeking Your face, not only Your hand" and... wow, have I been seeking God all wrong. I only ask God for things that I need. Good things, mind you- wisdom, courage, faith, wisdom...wisdom, you know. But...God wants us to seek His face. And know Him. Wow, do I have some things to really get working on. But then I thought.. how do I do that?? I asked some godly friends that I have around me and they said just to contemplate on God's characters or His names. And holy cow, what a hard and intimate thing to do. Well, this is getting long and my eyes are getting heavy so I'm going to go. Let me know how things are going and what all you are learning.
