Sounds like you had quite a trip! I'm glad that you had a good time. It's good to get away sometimes. My sister and I are leaving the 25th to go down and see her in-laws. Next week I'll be gone all week long as well. My youth group and I are going to Kentucky to do some manual labor for a week. It should be really fun. I'm excited. But you won't be able to hear from me on a very regular basis for a while, but I'll try to write when I can, ok?
And please, Gideon, don't thank me for being your friend. You are by far the most consistent person I have ever met in my entire life. You have been wise and mature and understanding.
I didn't mean that I felt like I should tell you what all is going on, but I don't want this to hurt our relationship. But if you want to know, I will have no regrets. Let me just give you a brief synopsis and if you want to hear nothing more about it, I'll understand. This guy, Andrew, has been friends with me for a long long time, and nothing more until not too long ago when we both got involved trying to take care of Marigrace (the girl that is now living with us) and he chased after me hard and then, he asked me to go out on a date with him and I told him no because of you. I didn't know what to do because, quite honestly, I'm not really sure that I can see myself with him in five years. But I can see myself with a guy like you for the rest of my life! But on the other hand, I don't want to have no fun during my youth waiting on somehting that my only be my dream, do you understand what I'm saying? And so I was very honest with Andrew and I told him all of this so that he would know where I was coming from and so that I would not break his heart too badly someday if I was to ever see you again. Do you think that I'm a player now? I kind of have felt like one. Thank you for understanding.
